Sometimes, we face an issue related to excel source or destination. We get an error like \u201cExcel Source\/destination failed validation and returned error code 0xC020801C\u201d<\/em><\/strong> or \u201cSSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager \u201cExcel Connection Manager\u201d failed with error code 0xC0209303\u2033<\/em><\/strong>. The reason for this run-time error is that Excel does not have a 64-bit driver which is selected by default in SSIS running on 64bit OS.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To solve this issue, follow these steps :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 \u2013 Select Project Menu -> [Project Name] Properties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
